A Trekking JournalNovember 12, 1997Today (be) is the second day of my trek around Mount Annapurna. I am exhausted and my legs (shake) are shaking ; I just hope I am able to complete the trek. My feet (kill, really) are really killing me and my toes (bleed) are bleeding, but I (want, still) still want to continue.Nepal is a fascinating country, but I have a great deal to learn. Everything (be) is so different, and I (try) am trying to adapt to the new way of life here. I (learn) am learning a little bit of the language to make communication easier; unfortunately, I (learn, not) don't learn foreign languages quickly. Although I (understand, not) don't understand much yet, I believe that I (improve, gradually) am gradually improving.I (travel, currently) am currently travelling with Liam, a student from Leeds University in England. He (be) is a nice guy, but impatient. He (walk, always) always walks ahead of me and (complain) complains that I am too slow. I (do) am doing my best to keep up with him, but he is younger and stronger than I am. Maybe, I am just feeling sorry for myself because I am getting old.Right now, Liam (sit) is sitting with the owner of the inn. They (discuss) are discussing the differences between life in England and life in Nepal. I (know, not) don't know the real name of the owner, but everybody (call, just) just calls him Tam. Tam (speak) speaks English very well and he (try) is trying to teach Liam some words in Nepali. Every time Tam (say) says a new word, Liam (try) tries to repeat it. Unfortunately, Liam (seem, also) also seems to have difficulty learning foreign languages. I just hope we don't get lost and have to ask for directions.

Hey…this is my first writing a blog, all this while it has been a diary, or some stupid notebook where I write down my secret thoughts and whatever I feel inside. I always read about blogs in the novels, but I never come across that I would have a blog on my own. Thanks to my Bel260 lecturer, I actually had a blog. Oh yea, that reminds me I have not get my new Bel 260’s lecturer name. I am going to ask her when I have the chance to…or I might ask one of my classmates. I don’t know if other people except me are going to read this, so should I introduce myself? Alright, I think it’s inappropriate not to have an introduction to my blog so here you go. My name is Nadjlaa Zubri,in the year 2008,I will turn 19,god willing, I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Some people think that it’s a nice place, but I don’t think so. Kuala Lumpur, I mean, Malaysia is a nice country and I am very proud being a Malaysian. I am currently studying in Segamat,Johor. If you are scratching your head right now with the question “where is segamat?” popping in your head, please, please, grab a map and find it, because, it is a lovely place to visit. And, If you are a Malaysian ,and you don’t know where Segamat is located, then, you might be those who have not read the newspaper for a long period time, or, you have not watch the news for a long time or you are too small to read the newspaper or understand what the newscaster is telling, or you must be a caveman in Gua Musang. Some facts that are related to my life is…..I love to shop! And I really think that girls should make time to pamper themselves while guys should be out there working their buts out to make a living and to prove to us girls that they are really worth marrying. Women nowadays also have to equip themselves with intelligence. Smart is the new black. Smart is sexy. Guys also prefers girls with brain so that they have something to talk about..And nowadayas, girls are getting smarter, more successful, and more independent…but, ladies, that doesn’t mean you have to ditch guys! I think that’s for now.logging out.
